Was curious to see what the team was going to do w/ him. He's an interesting player cut for the bottom-six role as you mentioned, but the team really went out of their way to insulate him as a F. 65% offensive zone starts in a checking role? That's absurdly high -- actually, it's the highest on the team of qualified players.
I'd like to see some of Porter since Reaves won't be needed every night and Jamie will need some nights off as well. Additionally, I don't think he kills you on the third line in a pinch. he's fun to watch and as you say, he knows his role.
